Our Mission:
Building on the tradition of sharing knowledge and telling stories, the Biindigaate Film Festival is a celebration of indigenous films and filmmakers.
Our Goals:
- To celebrate culture & diversity
- To create access to indigenous films within Northwestern Ontario
- To bring people together and build a stronger community
- To share indigenous perspectives from around the world
- To highlight the talents and skills of Indigenous film makers
- To educate and increase public awareness of surrounding cultures and peoples
- To contribute to the economic development of Thunder Bay and create opportunities to support the development of the local film industry
About the Biindigaate Film Festival Committee
We are a diverse, grassroots, not-for-profit group composed of First Nations, Metis and non-Native people from the community of Thunder Bay.
